The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and enthusiastic person with strong organisational, office and communication skills, to join us in out Carlton office as an Administrative Assistant.

Role Description/Activities

We require someone to work with our booking system for a statewide program. Activities will include:

  • Entering bookings on our electronic booking system
  • Responding to telephone calls and emails with clients to arrange bookings
  • Interacting with training staff to facilitate bookings
  • Ordering resources and manuals
  • Maintaining effective communication with other team members
  • Other administrative tasks

You will bring the following experience and skills to the role:

  • Personal qualities of enthusiasm, flexibility, resilience and good humour
  • An ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • An understanding of and preparedness to adapt to a professional workplace environment
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • High level competency with Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel
  • Ability to manage an on-line booking system
  • Confidence and competence in communicating complex information via telephone and email to a variety of clients as well as to Synergistiq staff and associates
  • Ability to record information accurately and in a timely manner, creating data bases and formatting information to be used in reports
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a work supervisor by telephone and email and to monitor own work capacity.

This position will be part time (12 hours per week over 3 days) and fixed term (until 29 June 2018) with a possibility of extension.
