Alex has had an eclectic career, having worked for a federal MP and for multiple government departments in Victoria and in the UK, where he wrote and was involved in the development of policy and government strategy. More recently he has held positions at the Australian Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Study Centre and Local Government Professionals Australia, where he has researched, analysed and wrote complex reports with stakeholder buy-in, and coordinated capacity development and other training and professional development programs, underpinned by research and investigation.
Alex has a BA in Business and History and has also completed Advanced Project Management at the Australian Institute of Management. He is passionate about community and has been a student mentor in the Young Achievement Program for seven years and sits on three community boards. He is a Fellow of the Centre for Sustainability Leadership and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Alex speaks Hebrew and has basic conversational skills in Russian.
