Tell us about life after school

Share your experience of post-school pathways and help shape the journeys of other young people like you.

We’re inviting young people like you to take part in an exciting evaluation project. Whether you’re working, studying, training, or figuring things out – your story matters.

Synergistiq, an independent research consultancy, is evaluating the Victorian Early Leavers Connection Initiative (VELCI), on behalf of the Department of Education. VELCI supports young people who have been exempted from school and are pursuing alternative pathways (i.e. work or study). The initiative’s Career Advice Service and targeted support providers (First Nations and disability-specific organisations) provide regular check-ins, career guidance and other support to early school leavers.

If you have been involved with any of these VELCI supports, we want to hear your experience. Sign up to participate in an interview or group discussion (you must be 15 or over to participate). These will take place in-person, at your local Career Advice Service or targeted support provider, or virtually if you’re unable to attend in-person.

By participating, you will have the chance to:

  • share your experiences of your post-school pathway in a safe and supportive space, with options to be involved in 1:1 or group discussions
  • help shape available support for other young people like you
  • receive compensation for your time and input ($50 gift voucher).

Add your voice – register your interest in participating below.
