Book to host an ISG training event.

Face-to-face training sessions are available in certain circumstances, to support a school, its council members or a group of schools. Private virtual sessions are also available in situations where they may be required by a school.

In 2024, the Department of Education will make face-to-face training available for schools that satisfy one of the below conditions:

  • councils whose members may have low digital literacy or may face challenges in accessing online training
  • rural councils with limited internet access
  • Culturally and Linguistically Diverse councils
  • councils experiencing internal conflicts
  • councils seeking to build cohesion through a facilitated face-to-face session.

Councils who fulfil any of the above conditions, or who have a large number of members hoping to attend a session (10+) may wish to arrange a private online session. 
 

If your council falls into any of the above categories, please complete the form below including your preferred date and starting time for each training module. We will contact you to confirm your training event/s. Face-to-face events are subject to approval from the Department of Education.

Facilitators are paid on a per session basis and are reimbursed (where relevant) for their travel and ancillary costs. Payment is applicable for participation in facilitator training and updates.

Applicants are asked to provide a curriculum vitae and a short covering letter (max one page) describing experience and knowledge of the relevant training areas. Please nominate the modules that you would like to deliver and the delivery modes you are willing to facilitate (face to face, virtual, both). We encourage candidates to apply, even if they have little or no experience with online facilitation or the Zoom platform. All facilitators this year had previously delivered only face-to-face training, and were supported to transition successfully to virtual delivery, creating additional professional opportunities for them.
