School Council Training.

The Department of Education offers free school council training to all Victorian Government school councils. This training is provided to help you understand the full scope of your role and provide effective governance to support your school. 

The training is delivered in three formats:

• a range of 20-minute, self-paced modules online
• a facilitated 2.5 hour virtual training session
• a facilitated 2.5 hour face-to-face training session.

The facilitated sessions are participatory and interactive, run by experience education professionals and retired principals who share their experience through a range of discussion, activities and scenarios.
