A number of opportunities exist for education professionals to facilitate School Council Training in Victoria.
Synergistiq was established in 1990, and has established a highly credible reputation over the past 29 years working with a wide range of clients, including government, community and more recently private sector organisations.
Synergistiq has a clear purpose to nurture systemic improvement in social justice and human rights. We do this by working in a range of complex policy areas, particularly education, community participation, justice, and health and wellbeing. We specialise in engaging meaningfully and positively with various stakeholders, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, young people, newly arrived and emerging communities, people living with disability, people living with addiction, and people who have experienced trauma.
We provide tailored services to meet our clients’ needs, focused on evaluation and research, strategy, planning and development, and facilitation and engagement. We value excellence, respect, learning, passion, humanity and courage. Our work is supported by our innovative approach to distributed leadership and self-organisation within the company.
We require a number of candidates to facilitate School Council Training Modules in Victoria. Content areas for these modules include:
The content for these modules is fixed and facilitator training is provided. Applicants can choose two or more of these modules for training. Our preference is that facilitators are trained in all four.
Delivery of the content is either (i) face to face or (ii) in a virtual format, such as video conferencing or a discussion board.
Activities for face to face training include:
Activities for online/video delivery include:
We are very keen for facilitators to facilitate in face to face and virtual modes. The Department of Education provides training in module content. Synergistiq will provide training in virtual engagement.
Facilitators are paid on a per session basis, and are reimbursed for their costs.
Applicants are asked to provide a curriculum vitae and a short covering letter describing experience and knowledge of the relevant training areas and their preferences for training modes.
Please submit your resume and a very short covering letter/email to Melinda McPherson at firstname.lastname@example.org
We are an equal opportunity employer and encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply, including candidates looking to juggle parenting responsibilities around part time work.
